Leaf Shaped Platter [SOLD]

Description

This Leaf Shaped Platter is inspired by the beauty of monstera deliciosa leaves, which have prompted me to make many pieces based on this theme, and they tend to be quite popular. This platter was hand-made from white clay and hand-decorated using coloured slips and sgraffito. After bisque firing it was dipped in a clear, glossy glaze and then glaze fired.

The dimensions of this Leaf Shaped Platter are about 25 cm maximum in length, a maximum of 21 cm in width and about 4 cm maximum in height. This platter is a curved version with holes to match those of the monstera deliciosa leaves, and can be used for many purposes. Some examples are serving (as long as the served items don’t fall through the holes) hors-d’oeuvres, fruit, cheese, snacks or cakes, or it could be used as a table centrepiece that you could put a wine bottle on, or a candle. Whatever you use it for, rest assured that it’s fully functional and you can even clean it in the dishwasher without any problems.
